Hot plate, also known as hot-rolled plate or hot-rolled plate, is made from continuous casting billets or primary rolled billets as raw materials. After being heated in a step-by-step heating furnace and descaled by high-pressure water, it is rolled through a roughing mill. The roughing material is then processed by head and tail cutting and enters the finishing mill for computer-controlled rolling. After final rolling, it is cooled by laminar flow and coiled to form a straight coil. Its head and tail are often tongue-shaped or fish-tail-shaped. It needs to undergo edge cutting, leveling and other finishing treatments to be made into hot-rolled steel plates, flat coils and other products. Among them, hot-rolled pickled plate coils are favored because they can partially replace cold-rolled plates and have a moderate price.

Detail

Hot-rolled steel plates are classified into types such as structural steel and low-carbon steel. They feature good ductility and   relatively low strength, and often have oxide scales on their surfaces. Compared with cold-rolled plates, hot-rolled plates

are rolled at high temperatures, have poorer surface quality but are cheaper. Cold-rolled plates, on the other hand, have

higher hardness and smoothness and are suitable for the production of strip materials.Common thicknesses range from

0.8 to 12mm, and widths range from 1000 to 2500mm.
